Universal Laws

A lot of people may learn about the law of manifestation (also known as the law of attraction) and want to know how they can use it in their lives.  Highly misunderstood, the law of manifestation is seen by some as a hoax, while others consider it a form of magic.

The core idea behind the law of manifestation is: thoughts become things.

This is also the source of the confusion.

Now, at first this sounds like all you have to do to manifest a million dollars, for example, is imagine checks coming in the mail.Time spent seriously imagining deliveries of checks is no longer daydreaming, it becomes a form of work! In your mind's eye, you can see the checks, some for hundreds of dollars, but most in the thousands!   A few weeks - or even months - devoted to this little exercise should yield fantastic results, right?

But if that’s all you do, you probably won’t see checks coming in the mail.  Why is this?

At its most basic, money doesn't just come when called. There is no giant dump truck full of golden coins coming to unload all of them into your driveway.

To get money, you must prepare yourself for it. You may focus on money and what this will do is it will “tune you in,” so to speak, to opportunities out there to earn money. For example, a routine news story may illuminate money-making opportunities for you, or your friends may invite you to join them in a business venture.

There's no magic - these things were going to be there whether or not you were concentrating on money.Your daily routine is filled with money-making opportunities - you just weren't paying attention to them.  Every moment of our waking lives, we're bombarded with all sorts of information, and to retain our sanity, we pay attention only to that information we believe will be meaningful for us. Think about it - the last time you went shopping and bought eggs, what size were they?  And what brand were they?We can only pay attention to so much stuff and we just filter everything else out.

This is what's meant by "aligning" with a desire - setting our minds up to be aware of ways to bring those desires to fruition. The law of manifestation works like that: when you concentrate on getting a thing, ways of doing so manifest themselves to you as a result of your focusing on it.

Think about it.  All day long, every day, there are cars all over the place, yet you rarely pay much attention to them.  The minute you're in the market for a new car, though, you start paying a great deal of attention to them, and then when you actually get one, you notice every other car on the road that's the same make and model as the one you bought. Focusing on getting a new car didn't get you the car, but it suddenly made you aware of all the cars in your part of the world.

It works pretty much the same way for most things in life you might find yourself wanting. Thus, if you're looking for ways to improve your health, you'll become aware of all sort of information being thrust at you from many different sources, all promoting ways to lose weight, become more fit, and in general become more healthy.  You might wonder where all this information was before, but you already know - it was there all along, but the law of manifestation made you pay attention to it.

The law of manifestation isn't the only universal law that you can put to work for you, and some, like the laws of vibration and abundance, can help you use the law of manifestation more successfully. There is no magic, but life itself can seem magical for those who master the universal laws.
